For everyone who wants more than a chicken coop: the dream feature has finally arrived in VIVIDUS RUST! The fierce animals you used to hunt for your life, including boars, deer, bears, wolves, tigers, panthers, and crocodiles, can now be raised at your own base. Raise babies found in the wild, harvest grown animals, and collect meat, leather, fat, and bones in piles. It is basically a walking resource bank 💰

🗺️Get baby animals
🍼Baby animals can occasionally drop when you hunt and harvest wild animals. Here is what each wild animal can give you:

- Buy the Animal Farm item from the shop. It looks like a deployable above-ground pool.
- Place it inside your own TC building privilege area, on a foundation or the ground.
- The moment you place it, the trough, fence, water tank, and hopper are automatically set up. Nice and easy 🎉
Put babies in and raise them
📥- Open the farm’s feed box, also called the trough.
- Inside, there are slots for different uses:
- Food slot: put cooked meat and other food here
- Baby slot: put a baby here to start growth!
- Once a baby is placed in the baby slot, it grows into a proper adult in about 30 minutes and starts walking around inside the farm 🐾
Care for them with food and water
🍖Your animals will weaken and die if they run out of food or water. Treat them like pets and take good care of them 💕
🍖 Food
- Just put food in the food slot. When animals get hungry, they will go eat on their own.
- Only cooked food can be inserted! Cooked meat, berries, corn, and other plant foods are OK. Raw meat is not allowed 🚫
- If food runs out for too long, they take damage… and in the worst case, you say goodbye. Keep them fed!
💧 Water
- The farm includes a water tank with a maximum capacity of 20,000 ml.
- Supply water by connecting pipes! Pipes can be connected to the feed box/trough, so run them from a water source and the tank will fill 🚰
- When an animal gets thirsty, it drinks 20 ml at a time.
- You can check remaining water in the trough UI, shown as water level / water usage. Refill it often!
💩 Bonus: poop fertilizer
- Well-fed, healthy animals sometimes drop fertilizer.
- It is great for growing crops, so farmers get an extra tasty bonus 🌽
The longer you raise them, the better! Age secrets
📈- Animals age by 1 year every 60 real-time minutes.
- The older they are, the more resources they drop when harvested, across 5 stages from age 1 to age 5!
- Do not rush to harvest them. Raising them patiently is the smart move ✨
The materials differ by animal. Here is a rough guide to the loot you can expect at age 5:

Pet them to breed and grow your farm
💕Once you have at least two adults of the same species, you can make more babies just by petting them!
It is super simple
- Walk up to an adult animal you raised.
- Aim at the animal and press the use key, default “E”, to pet it 🤚
- If the conditions are met, a new baby appears inside the trough! You will see a breeding message too 🎉
Breeding rules
When you pack up the farm
📦- When you pick up the farm equipment, such as the trough, it returns to an Animal Farm item.
- At that moment, all animals inside disappear, and items in the trough drop on the ground.
- Before removing it, make sure to collect food, babies, and resources!

Q&A when you are stuck
💬Babies are not dropping at all!
The drop rate is 10% each. The trick is to hunt lots of wild animals. Remember, your own farm animals do not drop babies.
My animal died…
It may have run out of food or water. Check the food slot and water tank regularly!
I cannot put a baby into the farm
The farm may have reached its limit of 10 animals. Harvest grown animals or build another farm.
Why can’t I breed them?
Check these three things: 1. at least two adults of the same species, 2. 3 hours have passed since the last breeding, and 3. the farm has not reached the 10 animal limit.
I want to gather resources efficiently!
Animals age every 60 minutes, and higher age means more resources. Raising them to age 5 before harvesting is the best efficiency!
